Palm Sunday Service (4/5/2020)

COVID-19 Update

CONNECT is being cancelled for 3/18 and 3/25.   No worship services until further notice.   As many of you are aware our nation is currently responding to the COVID-19 virus. In an effort to be responsible and responsive to the current situation, St. Peter's leadership has decided cancel worship services for the time being. Please stay tuned for further information in the coming weeks.

Dear Members of St. Peter's, We are scarcely into the first week of quarantine here in Illinois, and let me say that so far it has been quite an experience! As we work through these times, let us lean in faith all the more upon our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as we act AS CHURCH in our community even though we may not gather IN CHURCH for the time being.

With this in mind, let us take note of the following things that you can do at home:

1. Follow the links on our website to the Facebook Page so that you can watch and listen to our services as we record them online. At this point, they are not live, but simply recordings. It is my hope that we can improve this before Holy Week (April 5th-12th).

2. Bible Studies are being sent each week by email so that you can continue to feed on God's Word while at home. Children's message are also being sent out so that you can have a devotion with your children or grandchildren to continue with our Lenten theme.

3. There are devotions being done each day by our synod president, Matthew Harrison. You can also get his message and other resources at our synod's website at www.lcms.org.

4. Marsha will continue to send out bulletin announcements by email each week.

5. As a church, we have several members on our shut in list who are unable to see visitors because of this virus. A list of shut-ins has been emailed out. I would encourage you to color a picture, write a letter, send a card, or anything else that you can think of to send to our shutins.

6. Finally, please consider continuing with your tithes and offerings in order for the ministry at St. Peter's to go on. You can either mail your offerings or drop them off at the church office most weekdays.

If you have not received any emails, we apologize for the oversight. Please contact the church office at (309) 699-5411 Thank you, and may God bless your day.

Go in Peace, and serve the Lord.
