-
We plan to follow the IDPH guidelines, without sacrificing our Worship experience.
-
We urge anyone in a high-risk group (age, health condition, etc.) or not feeling well to refrain from attending for the safety of the whole church body.
-
If you are not comfortable with attending yet, we fully understand, and you may continue to shelter in place.
-
If you are not able or wish not to attend, please contact the Church office, the Pastor or an Elder if you want someone to visit you at home, we can provide a video of the current week’s service (if you have not been able to receive it) and communion.
The format we have decided to follow is as follows:
-
Entry and exit doors will be propped open as well as Sanctuary doors.
-
Every third pew will be utilized with one family unit per pew. Painter’s tape can be used to block off pews. Non-family members in the same pew should use social distancing protocol
-
Pastor, Elder and Ushers would wear masks, others at the persons discretion.
-
Social distancing reminders would be posted as well as reminders by Ushers and Pastor.
-
Posted reminders to limit unnecessarily touching any surface in the Church.
-
Offering would be dropped in offering plate by Narthex doors.
-
Printed material (Bibles, Hymnals, attendance books, etc.) would be removed from the pews, the Service would
be projected on the large screen. -
Ushers will release people from the back pews and work forward in an effort to maintain social distancing
-
Persons will be reminded to exit promptly after service utilizing recommended social distancing guidelines.
-
Hand sanitizer will be available at various locations.
-
Please limit the use of bathrooms unless absolutely necessary.
Communion process as follows:
-
A process similar to what we are currently using on weekends will be used.
-
Tables would be set up in front of the Baptismal font.
-
Ushers would release one pew (family unit) at a time, they will exit on the center aisle and wait at the front pew until the previous group returned down the side aisle.
-
Communion wafers and wine/grape juice will be in individual cups with lids and will be set out before each
group. -
After receiving communion, each person would take the cups and drop them in a container as they exit.
If you have any questions, please call the Church office or and Elder.
